Location

This year for WTI, we will be staying at a brand new location: Aldersgate Retreat & Cultural Center in Pacific Palisades.

Briana (WTI co-chair) and Chris (retreat house manager)

This three story Craftsman-style home was built in 1892 and moved to Pacific Palisades from downtown Los Angeles in 1928. For more information, please visit www.aldersgateretreat.org

This historic home will accommodate groups of 10-44 for overnight events and up to 75 for a meeting or special event.  We will have a variety of overnight arrangements for WTI participants ranging from private doubles to group rooms of 6, including ADA accessible rooms.

In addition, we’ll have access to main dining room with a chef (Juliet) who can accommodate various dietary needs.

There are numerous meeting spaces and a large meeting/game room. We also can enjoy evenings by various indoor and outside fireplaces. In addition, there is WiFi throughout the house.

Located in the coastal town of Pacific Palisades, Aldersgate is less than a mile from Will Rogers State Beach, a short walk into the trails of the Santa Monica Mountains, and just a block from the shops of Pacific Palisades.

Pacific Palisades (“Where the Mountains Meet the Sea”)

What can we say…The Beach Boys mention it in “Surfin’ USA”; it’s where Bayside High was located for Saved By The Bell; the movie Carrie was filmed at Pacific Palisades High School, and it’s home to the first season residence of  the Golden Girls.

Pacific Palisades is a district within the city of Los Angeles, located between Brentwood to the east, Malibu to the west,Santa Monica to the southeast, the Santa Monica Bay to the southwest, and the Santa Monica Mountains to the north.  It’s about 20 miles from Downtown Los Angeles and about 12 miles from LAX.
